Sarah On the Swing

A/B comparison of music for a scene from the Twilight Zone series.

The original version was created by Micky Hart for a scene in which the central character is uncertain whether the child he sees is real or a spirit.

In the second version, the music has been spatially processed to enhance the underlying dramatic situation. The music moves between close and far with exaggerated air absorption to capture the primary character's uncertainly. In the dark zones the music retains its pitch while the simulated reflections undergo doppler shifts adding an unworldly quality.
